We're Looking For The Peak District's Best Ice Cream - And You Could Win £200

We've spent an embarrassing amount of time discussing this in the Good Life List inbox. Is farm-made ice cream always better? Who does the biggest scoops? Which places are worth making an effort to get to - even if you're on the complete other side of the Peak District? And perhaps most importantly... where do locals head when they fancy an ice cream?

Rather than pretending we know all the answers, we're handing this one over to you.

Welcome to the next Good Life List Reader's Choice Award, where we're on the hunt for the best ice cream in the Peak District. It could be a family-run farm shop, an old-fashioned parlour, a café making its own gelato, or a little hatch you've been stopping at for years. If it's the first place that springs to mind when someone mentions ice cream, we want to hear about it.

Our first Reader's Choice competition for Best Sunday Lunch attracted more than 1,000 nominations and votes, eventually crowning The Sycamore Inn in Parwich as the winner. It was such a brilliant way to uncover places our readers love that we couldn't wait to do it all over again.

The process is simple. Over the next few weeks we'll collect your nominations before revealing a shortlist of the businesses receiving the most support. Then we'll open the public vote to find this year's winner.

And because we like a little incentive...

Everyone who submits a nomination will be entered into a prize draw to win £200 to spend on whatever you wish. Whether that buys one spectacular family outing, a meal out or enough ice cream tubs to see you through the rest of summer is entirely up to you.

We're also keeping one of our favourite parts of these awards. Rather than handing over a trophy, we'll donate £200 to a charity chosen by the winning business, giving something back to the local communities that make the Peak District such a special place to explore.
